Getting ready!

Ready??  

Phase one of "The MOVE"

Phase one of my move was to move from Chicago to Mich.  Back to my parents home.  The goal was to get everything into one mini van..... yeah that did not happen.  Luckily I had this amazing friend who was looking for a day off of work and said they would also drive the 6 hours (keep 6 in the back of your mind it comes up again) to my parents home in Mich.  Sunday we loaded the two cars and set off on the drive.

Two cars ready to go!  

We started our travels at 1pm CST in Chicago.......

At 1:20.....

Oh look Its TRAFFIC!!

WOW.... The city is still very far away :(

 IF you look closely you can see the time says 2:20pm.... see how close we are to the Sears/Willis Tower

Someone lost a sock!  

WE HAVE LEFT THE CITY!!  3 HOURS!!
Now most people will say "Well thats Chicago for you!" but this time it was all due to one truck driver who thought leaving the cargo on one side of the highway and the cab/front of the truck on another was a good idea.  Taking us down to one lane for a matter of 45 seconds.  Now that we have passed the city we are off and running (or Driving).  Around Midnight we reach home and all crash.  The next day we unpacked the cars.

Next step.  Repack to fly to Conn so even less stuff!!
